Have You Seen These?

Have you ever seen one of these? Cardboard records were a cheap alternative for the vinyl phonograph record. Starting in the early 60’s and up till sometime in the 80’s you would see these mostly used for promotional campaigns. You would find them on the back of cereal boxes and in magazines.
These discs were usually small, had poor audio quality compared to vinyl or acetate discs. All they are is a thin plastic coated piece of cardboard. Its amazing that some of them are still around. If you dig, you might find some Jackson 5. But you’re most like to find something like Melmac Beach Party or some pornographic material. This particular one we found is from the a Mad Magazine promo from the 60’s.
